So I can't seem to get youtube to embed, even when it is enabled in the admin panel.
Is there any additional configuration needed?
I have tried a stock install and same issue.

Did you go through all the settings and set the types of videos you want to embed? it works for me except the sizes, I can't seem to get them down to fit the window of the post! other than that it's working for me!

Maxx

All the settings appear to be correct. Youtube is selected, but will look again.

Think I worked it out, I use https and Youtube doesn't, can cause issues.
Will test.

Isn't it supported from the start by Wedge..?!

Yes You are correct, it is by default, the settings I'm thinking of ( my Bad) are for third parties wishing to upload ( I think ) or local.
The typical non SSL user's need to know is that, they can use the url at the top of the U tube page it has to be the one generated by the share bottom at you tube. the https:// will not work! cause it's a secured url:)
But my issue is the size. I'll need to investigate this more. IT allow you to set this size, but it has no effect on the size and the video over laps the post window area! On the SMF the auto embeder works perfectly! :)

My issue is because I am using SSL only

In SMF you can use the Censored Words feature to change https://www.youtube.com to http://www.youtube.com - perhaps this will work in Wedge?

I was thinking that YouTube worked regardless of whether you were in HTTP or HTTPS.But my issue is the size. I'll need to investigate this more. IT allow you to set this size, but it has no effect on the size and the video over laps the post window area!
Where..?
The overlapping problem (Firefox-only, AFAIK) was fixed before I even released the source code.

it does I checked.
My issue is that because I run entirely over SSL,my chrome silently blocks http content (IE doesn't ) and when I add https to the youtube link the media embed doesn't display it.

TBH it could be Ad block plus, will test tonight
