does the property? "@name is mentioned in a message " 

I did not see on the Notifications settings page

but there in the wedge  forums

I hope I got your question right, But what I do is start the thought with ie: "@Nao" then the thought> after that there will be a drop down to the left side for action>You may also direct your thought to a given user group on the right side the time of the thought process.

You'll have to install the mentions plugin to get it to work :)
