Title: Enlarge Background to full screen (whatever the resolution)
Post by: DragoN on October 22nd, 2011, 09:11 PM
Hi all,

1st I know this isnt the best place to post this (or if I can - If not please delete it). Ive asked for help in SMF board (several like in the Portuguese, English and even in the design board), the theme board, and even with Crip (the theme creator).. Im running out of ideas so I thought to try the wedge comunity for some help..

Now my question.. Im making a restyle to a site and I made a background to it. The thing is I made that background thinking in my pc resolution, and now in a different resolution the image ruins all the work I got.

Im using Blackbox(http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=961) from Crip, and SMF 2.0. Ive come across a topic that shows a solution, but Im 0 at scripting and dont know how to do it.

Here it is:  http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=439462

Ive asked in several places for some guidance but no one could help me..

Sorry my EN, and hope to get some help here among the experienced scripters.

Css3 has a property for that. Background sizing or something.
Older HTML implementations, too.

Ty for your reply Nao.. Ive seen those new features about Css3 but has I dont know to much about coding Im unable to add them to my files.. Every time I use some of that new codes in my files they dont work. Like the background-size , if I add it to my file trough Notepad++ that fuction stays in black text (has the file dont recognize it)..

Sorry for my EN and my poor script skills, but can you give me some tips? Maybe create a new file only for the background. Make that file to be full screen allways on back. Then make the normal theme background with 100% transparency.. Dunno bro, Im running out of ideias..

Anyway, a friend gave me the solution. So If you want (or anyone is interested too) I can put here the solution.
