Branding doesn't appeal to me nearly as much as if I could purchase a bunch of licenses for smart phone apps that could interface with the help desk that I run.  Then I'd resell those licenses to my clients at a small profit, or even at a loss.  I'd recoup that money by selling access to the help desk, and you'd get your cut from the App Store.
Here's where it starts to get very problematic - I don't think you can resell it like that. Buying an app in the App Store is tied to your Apple ID, which is inherently tied to your devices (whatever Apple based gizmos you have, be they regular Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod), so I don't think you can buy en-masse, but I could be wrong. I haven't gone into the details there.
I don't know if it works like that either, but it would amaze me if there wasn't a mechanism in place to accomplish it.  After all, Apple wants to maximize sales.  I was imagining that I could purchase special one time codes that I gave to my clients.  Or maybe I give it away and then there's an in-app purchase.  I guess that would work for a branded version.  And in reality, a branded version, to me, really just means that it has my splash screen, and it's limited to connecting to a specific URL.

It's not really business oriented, but user oriented. That said, I too would be surprised. If I get time (hahahaha), I'll take a look because I'm curious now.
