The Pub / Make obvious to users that their javascript is disabled.
« on August 19th, 2013, 03:49 AM »
Similar to the screenshot. I believe we should have an option that informs our users with disabled javascript that their javascript is disabled. Oo oo with custom message if not overkill. :^^;:

Yup, can't create new topic :S

While on the subject, should we bother caring for users with javascript disabled? Fair enough the options seems a bit buried in Chrome and now Firefox... Opera is a bit easier to get to.

Edit: Ah, evidently, y'all really do care. :)

Archived fixes / [function.preg-replace-callback] : Requires argument 2, 'wedit:format_time'
« on August 19th, 2013, 02:45 AM »
New bububububuuuuug!!

Warning: preg_replace_callback() [function.preg-replace-callback]: Requires argument 2, 'wedit:format_time', to be a valid callback in /Sources/Class-Editor.php on line 2015

This occurs whenever I click on the Modify post button (not using quick modify button.) I couldn't test modifying older posts/topics since a recent board setting changed to forbid editing old post. I was able to test in another thread which created the same result as the first time I encountered this. Hitting the Preview button with javascript disabled, I will nolonger see the error message.

Archived fixes / Forum signature(s) are not present
« on August 4th, 2013, 03:47 PM »
Even in html source.

My signature does not appear regardless of which section of the forum I'm in, my personal settings for Look and Layout, skin I'm using and browser.

Screen of my bug report topic. My signature doesn't appear. Same for anyone else.

As pictured.

The problem appears in all web browsers that I've tested on:

Google Chrome 28.0.1500.95.
Firefox 22.0
Opera 12.16
Internet Explorer 11. (Windows 8.1 ~ Virtualbox)

Archived fixes / Send a message, reply to a message
« on July 18th, 2013, 08:00 AM »
Wow. I can not do any of those. Now that I think of it, I remember going through my profile looking for a feature and checking to see if I have any unread message, and send a message, I do not know why I even wanted to.

I now notice what appears to be a bug. Attempting to send message or if I want to reply, I would get the "Wrong value type sent to the database. Array of integers expected. (users)" error. Looking at the url pictured, going to "http://wedge.org/do/pm/?sa=send" will also give me the same error. (Yup, something is wrong with "sa=send".

Ah, now I remember why I browsed around and not noticed an problem until now. I was more concerned with how the URL appeared. Trying to see if this software follows the ?action=this, ?action=dothat, ?action=andThisAsWell. A lotta softwares uses ?action=something. Being OCD here, I believe in awesome short variable names. :^^;: Something that describes my software better (?task=attack ???)

Archived fixes / Ignoring Users
« on July 15th, 2013, 05:55 AM »
Shouldn't this feature also ignore their signature? If I were to ignore someone, it could be because their signature is obscene. Their username should be hidden. IMHO, it should just be an empty post block with reason why it will not display content and option to unignore (Which it currently does, with the above exceptions I've pointed out.)

"Thoughts" posted by ignored users are still visible at the moment.

Off-topic / What type of programmer are you?
« on June 16th, 2013, 03:00 AM »
I found this page after googling "OCD programmer" since  I'm curious if there's a term to describe the type of programmers who's always worried about little things such as variable names, the order of words that appears in a variable name, camel-toe vs insert-naming-convention-here, how the output such as HTML appears and alternatives to "if (strlen($string) == 0)" and such. [1]

The theoretical one describes me too because I do stare blankly at my computer and rant about time  while I OCD my way towards a stable version of my code. While my stuff are very stable, I never view it as a complete project... With that said, what type of programmer are you?
 1. That happens to be me :-/, I can't stand to see imperfection in my code, I hate trailing spaces and most things better line up properly or it'll be edited to line up.

The Pub / Registration process
« on June 15th, 2013, 02:52 PM »
Is it just me that I find it bothersome that the majority of registration process in many online communities would first gather your input to become a member of their website, and then before you can verify your email address and such, you're already counted as a member/signed up?

I believe that it would be better if the applicant would simply just provide their email, they follow the temporary url in their email to then become a full member (The real sign up form.)

Inaccurate userbase count, and who recently became a member is not my cup of tea. (I've been thinking about this for months whether or not if this is a big deal and couldn't get over this.)

It may not appear to you, this seems to appear while not logged in (viewing topic as guest.)

Ah, right. This problem occurs regardless of browsers and skin used.
Posted: February 11th, 2013, 05:35 AM

Snooping around, this seems to have something to do with Arantor's profile. Go to the link above where I found the bug, then hover your mouse cursor over his name, you'll then see "Website" which goes to Arantor's website. Do the same for godboko71's name. So this appears to be javascript for that fancy effect. Note that on the bug pages, you don't get that fancy effect.

Test board / Losers. Testing.
« on January 12th, 2013, 12:08 PM »
That's right! I'm testing!
14
Not sure if this is occurring to others, but I see this issue appearing in Google Chrome 23.0.1271.97, Firefox 18.0, and I.E 10 (on virtualbox) as well.

Where you can see "It only took two guys two years..." and other posts below, that overlaps the time & date for when that blog post was made. Visible only while using the following skins: Wine and Wuthering. Wine looks a bit fine in Firefox and I.E though.
