Hmm, that's odd because it works as expected for me in IE9, but I do get the feeling there is something funky with the editor components in play and their event handling (since I noted issues with Mobile Safari having slow performance too)
Did you change anything, cause right now eveything goes fine. Didn't change anyting on my part.
I tested with IE9 under Windows Vista & Windows 7 and Firefox 11 under Ubuntu Linux.

As said in earlier I am using IE9 and it's  the normal Post Reply page, not the Quick Reply.

Again a discription of the problem,
During typing I see the letters appear 1 by 1 like in slowmotion.
When I am ready typing a word the last letters are still coming 1 by 1 and I'm really not a fast typist.
This behavior only occurs here on wedge,

A tooltip (icons & smilies) takes two seconds to become fully visible. Is that normal?

What kind of PC do you use? Core i7 or 486 DX 33?
Please try with other browsers to see if it's on your side or your browser's.
It's a laptop with a Intel Core2Duo P8400 @ 2.26 GHz and 3 MB of memory.
All software is up to date (Windows, Java, Flash etc). And befor I forget, I am using Eset AV 5.
I had no problems with slow Post Reply when Wedge.org was running SMF, nor did, or do I have problems with slow Post Reply with any SMF forum.

I will do some further testing and let you know the result

@ Nao
I/m using IE9 on Windows Vista.

I killed the only add-on in IE I use, spellchecker Speckie.
I deleted temporarily internet files and cookies, restarted the computer.
Compatabilty mode on or off makes no difference.
It's stll slow, no idea what to try further.

Congratulations with this milestone.
It's looking good, fresh, yet familiar.

Hmm.
Post reply is terribly slow in response. Typing text , but also tooltips come on slowly (from transparent to visible in 3, 4 steps).
Even the animated smilies are slow.

Normally I use the DNS from my ISP.
Lately it was a bit sluggish and I switched to Open DNS.

Test and choose DNS server that performs best for you

Whitout the 3D effect they where plane shapes, now they resemble something.
They look like aks heads and a bit like, I know it's not your intention, hardware wedges.
But overall it has something to it.

I don't think people *dislike* it per se. I think partly the problem is some people use the calendar solely for birthdays (which to me seems odd because birthdays are a social feature, while a calendar is more organisational) and others use the calendar as a calendar, but find it a bit limited.
+1

If I see calender full of birthdays (especially on big forums) I don't even bother checking if there is some usefull event mentioned somewhere.

(except by IE users who I think are still left without a spellchecker)
For IE I use there's speckie. Works quit well.

You like nice-skewed in particular or my latest logos in general, like the header one?
The latest logo's are in my opinion definitly so far the best you made.
Personaly I like the grafics part of:

and the letter part of:

Oké mayby a bit lighter in color, but not to much.

So far I like the last one from Bloc and nice-scewed3 from Nao.
Looking a bit longer to them I found the full circle in the logo by Bloc a bit less oké and the logo by Nao a bit to "squarisch".
I felt combining in some way would do.
I am not great with grafics en only have Windows Paint on this computer, so only a raw mockup to get an idea.
It's up to others to make something out of it.

I know there is many software (calendars / schedulers / PIM's) that use http://icalshare.com/
Maybe it is usefull for Wedge too.

I am no grafic designer and can't help designing, but if the logo should look like a wedge it should look more like
But that's just my idea.
