No.. I said Custom Profile Field, not plugin.

When add custom profile fields, you can select from templates.

Okay, but have you made sure it is set to show on memberlist, then go look at the memberlist?

Okay, lets try this again...

Go to Admin Panel.
Under Members -> Member Options -> Profile Fields

Add Profile Field.

Use one of the templates.

Make sure the box for show on memberlist is checked.

Save.

Go look at the memberlist, not the Admin panel one, but the main one.

Fresh install, set up a custom profile field, have it check marked to show on memberlist. (Yes, you can use one of the templates, it does it to them, too)
Then go view the forum memberlist.

Did you miss the word Custom?
Meaning custom profile fields...

For some odd reason, when have custom profile fields show in memberlist, that happens.

So no, it is not info from before I converted, nor did anything go wrong during the conversion. ;)
And yes, I had already thought that, and double checked on a test site....LOL

Skin Selector in Main Menu under Profile.
If skin selection is turned off, this still shows.

I see why, there is nothing about the setting in the show part in the code: Subs.php

Code: [Select]
'skin' => array(
'title' => $txt['change_skin'],
'href' => 'http://wedge.org/do/skin/',
'show' => allowedTo(array('profile_extra_any', 'profile_extra_own')),
),
'',

Seems it should be something like:

Code: [Select]
'skin' => array(
'title' => $txt['change_skin'],
'href' => 'http://wedge.org/do/skin/',
'show' => allowedTo(array('profile_extra_any', 'profile_extra_own') && empty($settings['theme_allow'])),
),
'',

However, that leaves the line below it still showing.

Also, I wonder, is there any real reason to keep this in the menu?
If skin selection is enabled, then there's the drop down selector in sidebar.

Plugins / Advanced-Signature
« on October 10th, 2014, 03:46 PM »
I have found an awesome signature mod for SMF, I'd like to see ported to Wedge.

Advanced-Signature by emanuele

This mod has got to one of the most creative I have seen, and the options are fantastic. :)
Quote
This mod provides few new features to the signature mechanism.

With this mod active it is possible to have multiple signatures per user (the maximum number can be defined by the admin panel), choose a different signatures per each post or personal message, choose to use a random signature (for each single post/PM, from the post page, or for all the posts/PMs, from the profile page) or to not show signature at all (for each single post/PM, from the post page, or for all the posts/PMs, from the profile page). Admins can define a default signature for all the users without one.

Possibility to show/hide signatures on a per board and/or per topic level.

Plugins / Re: Downloads Plugin

I have enough troubles making SMF mods of any size.
Making for Wedge, is out of my coding exp right now...
But, I'm starting to learn some, but I'm afraid I wont be the one to be able to make this mod. :(

Plugins / Downloads Plugin
« on October 9th, 2014, 03:55 AM »
I'd love to see a downloads plugin that when a download is added, it will start a topic in a board set for that download category.
Also, allow multiple files for each download.
If get this, then I'd even consider changing my main site to Wedge. :)

Could always use something like the old mood icon systems that forums used to always have.
Heck, come to think of it, I don't recall anyone ever asking about those anymore....LOL

Reason I suggest them, is that most had text to them. I think that would look better than just a plain smiley image.
I can't find the one that used to be on SMF long ago, but I know I used to have it on one of my sites back then.

For Guests?
There is no membergroup for guests.
That's what I was getting at.
There's no way to set for guests to be able to post and have the posts moderated.

Maybe, but I would still like the ability to post moderate guest posts.
Not just for spam control, but also for basic content control.
After all, never know what some trouble maker may pop in and try to post. ;)

As for approval, a lot of people set guest posting that way, and sometimes, even member posts in certain boards. Look at SMF site's Showcase board, for one.
